Different Strokes Swimming COVID-19 Safety Plan.

At Different Strokes Swimming we care about your safety and wellbeing. We are implementing the following as part of our ongoing dedication to creating a safe and effective learning environment.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY

 Disinfectant of shared equipment

We will use disinfectant proven to kill viruses like COVID-19 on any shared equipment before and after classes and squad sessions.

Staff Health

Teaching staff have undergone Australian Government COVID-19 Infection Control Training, will disinfect hands and equipment between classes and will teach from the pool deck to ensure physical distancing.

Social distancing practices

To ensure social distancing classes are currently limited to 4 in the City of Sydney pools and 3 in Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre. Our squads and SwimFit sessions are capped at 12 swimmers per 50m lane, which can vary depending on the facility. These are subject to change based on facility guidelines and NSW Health Public Orders.

Bookings are essential

To enable robust contact tracing, you must book into classes to secure your spot. Our usual 24 hour cancellation policy will be in place. If you suspect you may have coronavirus or symptoms please do not come to class and contact the office immediately.

Separation of Class Teams

We will isolate teams so that there is minimal crossover of teaching staff between pools and clients.

MEMBER RESPONSIBILITY

Please download the COVIDSafe app

This helps us support and protect you, your friends and family, and other clients. Find out more here.

Sanitising hands

Clients must sanitise hands and equipment before and after class. Disinfectant products and sanitiser will be provided.

Bring your own equipment

You must bring your own towel, water bottle, goggles, swimmers and any other necessary equipment.

Practice social distancing

You must practice social distancing before, during and after classes and squad sessions by keeping a distance of 1.5m from others.

If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19

Please do not come to classes if you have any symptoms or if you have been instructed to self-isolate. You can view the latest health updates for COVID-19 in NSW here. In the event that there is a reported case of COVID-19 in one of our classes and you were potentially in contact with the individual, you’ll be notified immediately. From there, we’ll take the necessary safety precautions to notify pool venues and authorities. Whether you plan to join us now or when restrictions ease further, we can’t wait to welcome you back.
