We offer a free introductory class to ensure we find the right level class for you. Once we know your level, you can self serve individual programs or classes online or we can book you into one of our programs. The Introductory Class also gives you the chance to see how you like us! You will need to bring swimmers, goggles, a swimming cap and a towel. You can purchase a ‘Welcome Pack’ from us. These include goggles, a swimming cap and ear plugs for $35.

We recommend men wear swimmers or jammers rather than board shorts,  to reduce drag in the water. Women are best to wear a one piece costume, although of course you can wear a bikini or a modesty suit if you’d be more comfortable.

If you wish to shower after the class, you will need to bring your own toiletries and towel as these are not provided by the pool. Hairdryers are available at some facilities. Please note during this pandemic of COVID-19 some facilities do not offer access to their changerooms. Please check your selected pool’s website for details.

Pool entry is not included in any of our programs and is collected separately by pool management upon arrival. The pool entry fee varies between pools and is subject to change, but can be found on the website of your selected pool.

If you cannot attend a class or lesson, you must let us know 24 hours in advance, otherwise you will be charged for the class or lesson. 

If you have any symptoms relating to the Coronavirus, you must not come to the facility and can not attend classes, lessons, or squad training sessions, as per our COVID-19 Safety Plan. Yes, we still run our classes in the rain. We only cancel classes if the weather is so inclement or there is an electrical storm and the pool is closed. We will advise you as soon as we know. Swimming in the rain is really lovely and you’re wet anyway.

While not all the pools are open all year, we currently run classes right throughout year, even in winter.

None. All you need is a Sydney Swimmers green cap which we give you and your towel, goggles and swim suit. In winter we recommend a wetsuit as the temperature of the water can drop to 14 – 15C and a second swim cap to put under your green cap to help keep your head warm.

We also suggest you bring a warm drink to have immediately after the session and in winter a bottle of warm water to pour over yourself whilst you’re waiting for a shower. Warm showers are available at Bathers Pavillion at Balmoral Beach.
