Hi Everyone,
A huge congratulations to our swimmer, Kim Cook, who took out 6th place in her category (Solo Female Under 50) of the Sri Chinmoy National Capital Swim (10km) in Canberra on the weekend, swimming without a wetsuit (see photo above!). Apparently the conditions were particularly challenging with many swimmers struggling against the wind. You’re a star, Kim!
It’s terrific to see so many of you return to squad training. I can assure you as I slide towards the back of the lane, some of our swimmers have certainly picked up their pace. It just reinforces to me how effective squad training is. It really does work, folks!
Only a week left until the inaugural NSW Women Only Twilight Swim Carnival at the Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre. Please register ASAP if you’re keen so the organisers can build the program. You will need to know your times for the event you’re entering. If we can assist you taking your time/s, let me know.
I look forward to seeing you at the pool or beach soon!
As always in swimming,
Kari Baynes
